I'll Be Seeing You

I'll Be Seeing You

An Original Musical Based On A True WWII Love Story.

I’ll Be Seeing You is the true love story of Don and Cassie Waful.   An inspiring adventure of two young people who fall in love at the beginning of a world war and struggle, despite all odds, to keep love alive, is not only nostalgic but currently relevant.

In I’LL BE SEEING YOU,  the American spirit of courage and self-sacrifice are the predominant themes of the show, book-ended by the love story of Don and Cassie. Through the eyes of our characters, we explore the vibrant 1940’s, its wit and charm, but most importantly its determination.

With the use of multi-media and vintage sound package, a window of time is created with honest look backs from current eyes.  Vintage photographs and sound bites remind us that this story really happened.  We learn things we never knew before about the war and we are astonished.  This is a living romantic “documentary” that brings us to see – to feel - the stakes of war.  Ultimately, we learn that love cannot be suppressed but valiantly survives to tell the tale.

Tough, outspoken, loose canon. Came up from the ranks. Despite himself, he feels attachment
to Charlie, who he can’t help but
see him as a younger brother.

Hails from a rough neighborhood in Brooklyn and has no fear of the unknown - a risk taker.  With his courage and open heart, he impacts all around him, including MacDougal.

Curvaceous, sexy woman with a strong head on her shoulders.  There are no stars in her eyes.  She and Cassie are like oil and water
on their views of love

Beautiful, idealistic young nurse who sets out to do her part for the war effort.  A child of the 40’s era, she adores music and dancing. When she sees Don playing swing trombone on the bandstand, her heart melts.

Don’s best friend, band-mate and comic sidekick.  He and Pam have an affair under the umbrella of wartime morality that ultimately breaks his heart.

Lovable funny lady and Cassie's best friend.  She oozes 1940’s charm and wisecracks when ever possible.  Resolving not to let her emotions get the best of her, she rejects her lover Bob

before shipping out.

Handsome leading man with great strength of character. Well educated, he has a deep passion for music.  When he meets Cassie, his fate is sealed and he knows he will love her for the rest of his life, however long that maybe.
